　　The 2005 Biotechnology Workshops on the Frontiers of Functional Genomics will be held in Beijing on June 26-27. The 2005 Workshops will provide a platform for researchers and students to learn and exchange information on novel and advancedmethodologies in the field of functional genomics. The speakers will highlight the challenges we face now and in the future and discuss various novel and practical approaches in functional genomics ranging from study of gene function to therapeutics. These workshops will offer opportunities for communication among experts and students in China and abroad in the various disciplines of biology and medical research. This in turn will lay the groundwork for future collaborative interactions among the participants.

　　The deadline for submitting abstracts is April 30, 2005.We encourage the participants to present their findings in new techniques and notice of acceptance of a short presentation will be sent by May 1, 2005. Two awards will be selected for student presentations. For guidelines on submission.
